The Ellicott City Partnership (ECP) is a 501(c)(3) organization, promoting and supporting 100+ small businesses within the Ellicott City Historic District. The ECP preserves and grows the cultural identity of our neighborhood and supports economic development efforts. We partner with nonprofit and civic partners, grantors, sponsors, donors, and volunteers to provide year-round event programming and technical services for the Ellicott City Historic District community.
The Ellicott City Partnership became an accredited Main Street America™ community in 2014 and operates under the Main Street Maryland state coordinating program for the National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The ECP follows the Main Street Four-Point Approach to downtown revitalization, focusing on Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.
