The ECP is a 501(c)(3) organization, promoting and supporting small businesses within the Historic District in Ellicott City, Maryland. Our leadership aims to preserve and grow the cultural identity of our neighborhood while supporting economic development efforts. We partner with nonprofit and civic partners, grantors, sponsors, donors, and volunteers to provide year-round event programming and technical services for the Ellicott City Historic District community.

The ECP became an accredited Main Street Americaâ„¢ community in 2014 and operates under the Main Street Maryland state coordinating program for the National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The ECP follows the Main Street Four-Point Approach to downtown revitalization, focusing on Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.
