Lucky Lane Interiors is a refined home and gift shop located on Main Street in historic Ellicott City. Thoughtfully collected, the shop offers pieces for everyday living, from meaningful gifts to timeless home accents designed to elevate the details that make a house feel like home.
Founded by Kerry Whippee, the creative director behind Shamrock Hill Design, Lucky Lane was created as a natural extension of a deep love for interiors, styling, and intentional living. After years of helping homeowners and realtors transform spaces through design and staging, Kerry envisioned a boutique where those same thoughtfully chosen pieces could be shopped in person.
At Lucky Lane, you’ll find a mix of elevated essentials, beautiful gifts, and special pieces meant to be layered into your home over time. Our goal is simple: to create a space that feels welcoming, inspiring, and collected, a place where gifting feels meaningful and everyday moments feel a little more beautiful.
Maryland, Virginia, DC and now providing shipping across the US.
I started my journey in interiors when I founded Shamrock Hill Design in 2021. At the time, I was working out of my garage with inventory for just a handful of homes and a big vision to build something meaningful. I’ve always believed in the power of thoughtful spaces, how the right pieces can completely change the way a home feels and how people experience it.
Over the past few years, Shamrock Hill Design grew far beyond what I imagined in those early days. We expanded our inventory, moved into a warehouse, then got a second warehouse and began serving more homeowners and realtors across the Maryland and DC region. What started with inventory for a few homes evolved into staging dozens at a time, all grounded in systems, intention, and a deep love for beautiful, collected interiors.
Lucky Lane Interiors feels like a natural next chapter of that journey. After years of sourcing pieces for staging and design projects, I found myself wanting to create a space where those thoughtfully chosen details could be shopped in person. I wanted a storefront on Main Street, something rooted in community where people could find meaningful gifts, timeless home accents, and pieces that make everyday life feel elevated. Opening Lucky Lane is truly a full-circle moment, and I’m incredibly grateful for how far the journey has come.
