Celebration of the Arts in Howard County

Join us for the 29th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County on Saturday, October 24, from 6–10 p.m. at the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College in Columbia. This unforgettable evening will be led by Honorary Chair Christa Kerrigan, Principal Architect for Michael Graves Architecture, with Terry N. Eberhardt returning as our engaging Event Emcee. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. with a two-hour reception featuring: An art auction showcasing works by talented local artists Culinary tastings from some of Howard County’s top chefs and food creators Exciting raffle baskets filled with unique prizes At 8 p.m., guests will take their seats for the Rising Star Performing Arts Competition and the presentation of the Howie Awards. Seven talented performing artists will compete for audience votes and the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize. Throughout the evening, we will also honor this year’s Howie Award recipients—individuals who inspire, teach, and champion the arts throughout our community.
